From 1995 through 2006, Mark was
CFO at Bariston Partners, LLC, a Boston-based
merchant banking/private equity firm. While at
Bariston, he was responsible for the accounting
and finance functions, as well as providing tax
and accounting advice on management buyouts and
mergers and acquisitions for Bariston and its
portfolio companies. Additionally, he served on
the Board of Directors of Moose River Publishing.
Prior to joining Bariston, Mark spent five years
at The Boston Financial Group, first as assistant
controller in their property management division,
and then as a marketing analyst in their newly-formed
pension advisory group. Mark started his career
in public accounting at Tofias, PC and then PriceWaterhouseCoopers
(formerly Coopers & Lybrand).
Mark was educated at the University of Massachusetts,
Amherst and received his MSF from Boston College.
Mark is a certified public accountant.
