David is a highly experienced
private equity investor with 17 years of direct
private equity investing prior to joining Webster
Capital. For the past 15 years prior to 2007,
David was a Vice President and later a General
Partner of Halpern, Denny & Company executing
a small cap growth buyout investment strategy
similar to that of Webster Capital. David sourced
and led the investment of several hundred million
dollars of small cap buyout investments in the
consumer, healthcare and business service sectors.
He has extensive Board level experience having
served on 22 public and private company Boards
of Directors. Past investments include Nextwave
Telecom, Barneys New York, Oncure Medical, Picturetel,
and Heartlab. Prior to Halpern, Denny & Company,
David was an Associate at both Bain Capital and
Morgan Stanley & Company as well as an Associate
Consultant at Bain & Company.
David graduated from Brown University and earned
an MBA from Harvard University. He is a member
of the Board of Directors of Comfort Keepers,
Jan-Pro, Vox and Freedom Eldercare
