Andrew began his career as an
investment banker at Goldman Sachs & Co. Andrew
then co-founded HEAR Music, a music retailing
and marketing firm (sold to Starbucks Coffee)
and subsequently was CEO of Overseas Adventure
Travel, a leading adventure tour operator, which
is now a division of Grand Circle Travel.
Prior to co-founding Webster Capital, Andrew
previously served as Chairman and Founder of Vacation.com,
a provider of technology and marketing services
through a national network of 8,800 member travel
agencies. Vacation.com raised capital from institutional
investors, acquired nine separate businesses and
became the dominant player in utilizing the Internet
to provide business services to the travel industry.
It was sold to Amadeus, the largest travel technology
provider in the world.
For the past 17 years, Andrew has been an entrepreneur,
operating executive and principal in a number
of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. His
operating experience includes the conceiving of
and implementation of several new business concepts,
as well as involvement in several acquisitions
and turnarounds. His strengths are in marketing,
business development, mergers and acquisitions
and corporate strategy.
Andrew was educated at Hamilton College and received
his MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a
member of the Board of Directors of Sundance Holdings
and Comfort Keepers.
