When we formed Webster Capital, our Team spent many evenings trying to come up with an appropriate name that would communicate our commitment to and enthusiasm for partnering with growing private companies. We wanted our name to convey a sense of our trustworthiness, intelligence, and friendliness to the public. After extensive research utilizing a thesaurus, a Latin dictionary and even a book of famous quotations, we ultimately decided to use the name of Don Steiner’s handsome Labrador retriever, Webster. After all, Webster is trustworthy, intelligent and friendly. In fact, Webster has never been disloyal, has never made a bad investment and has never failed to greet a visitor with overwhelming enthusiasm. We think that Webster is a perfect namesake for our company and we will try to live up to his legacy.
